How to get involved
We want each person at Holy Trinity to have the opportunity to live a life of fulfilment following Jesus. There are a number of really important elements of such a life which we encourage every member at Trinity to be part of:
Community
The life and soul of the church is expressed in our many cell groups, which meet from house-to-house
across the city on Wednesdays or Thursdays. It is in these small groups that people learn how to grow in their faith and put the Bible into
practice. It is here that we reach out practically to family and friends and to the local communities around us; and it is here in the small groups
that love and pastoral care is given and received. Joining a cell group is the first step for people to begin to belong here at Holy Trinity and we
encourage everyone to belong to a group. Our Associate Minister Elaine Sutherland oversees the cell groups and will help you find a group that
would be right for you. Contact us at the church office to request help in finding a cell group.
These small groups come together on Sundays in our weekly celebrations. The children have their own special groups where they meet with others of their own age. We have a growing youth ministry, so there is lots for your kids to get involved with whatever their age.
Service
Being involved in church life is a key way of feeling you belong. As you serve the rest of the church you experience God using you and
blessing you and you are brought closer to other people as you serve them or are part of a team. Ask a member of staff about the different
opportunities to serve.
Mission
The church was called and created by Jesus in order to fulfil his mission in this world. We do this at trinity by giving and supporting mission throughout this country and oversees. But our primary calling is to Leicester and its people. We have a growing number of Mission-Shaped Communities in which people gather to fulfil a specific aspect of this mission. We encourage each person at Trinity to participate in one of these communities.
Growth
We want to see every member of Holy Trinity grow to maturity in their faith in Jesus Christ. This doesn't happen by accident and as well as being part of a cell group we provide a number of resources to help you take steps forward in your faith. These can be found on the cell group material page.
Giving
Financial giving is one of the joys of worshipping God and investing in his kingdom in this world. We encourage every member of Holy Trinity Church to give regularly to God's work here. We believe the basic standard for our giving is that we give God the first 10% of all he has blessed us with, and beyond that he calls us to live generous lives and to give as opportunity arises. Information about how you can give directly from your bank and how to Gift Aid your giving is available from the church office.
