Values
To help us fulfil our vision, we seek to embrace five core values. We want these things to be the hallmarks of church life here at Holy Trinity. Our values statement B:LIEF is used to summarise the following:
Building Community
God has made us with a capacity for love and a need for community. We believe that it is very important to form communities in our fractured society, to give people a sense of real belonging. We do this through our cell groups and Mission-Shaped Communities.
Loving Leicester
The vision of our church is to be a community that transforms this city with god's love. To do this we will have to discover many ways to demonstrate this practically in which people see God's love and grace in action. We are doing this already through our work with homeless people, mothers and toddlers, parenting, schools work etc. But we are seeking more opportunities and are following a strategy of establishing Mission-Shaped Communities to achieve this.
Inviting Questions
We encourage relevant, contemporary evangelism that invites conversations, questions and debate about the Christian faith, whilst providing people with a place to belong. We want to welcome and include people within our community whatever questions and issues they may come with. We specifically provide places for such questions to be asked and engaged with at our Questions and Alpha events.

Encountering God
Encountering God is a major part of our vision, to know the glory of God and the movement of the Holy Spirit when we meet. We view this as being more than theory, hoping for a life-changing experience in all our groups as they meet together.
Following Jesus
We believe that Jesus calls us to more than attending church meetings. We wnat each person at trinity to live a life of discipleship in which we grow in our faith and living our lives in obedience to him. To do this we seek to study and application of scriptures to all aspects of life and to empower each person through our Sunday celebrations, cell groups, and training resources.
Three other words might help to explain who we are:
Anglican.
Holy Trinity is part of the Church of England. We seek to take the riches of faith, and principles of
church life, contained within the Anglican tradition and apply them relevantly today. So we don't use very much of the traditional
prayers or structures from the past, but our history and Anglican context roots us and unites us with Christians throughout the world.
Evangelical. At Holy Trinity we take the Bible, Jesus death on our behalf on the cross, and proclaiming the Gospel,
very seriously. These are at the heart of who we are and what we do.
Charismatic. The personal presence, gifts and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives are promised to every Christian
through what Jesus achieved in his death and resurrection. At Holy Trinity we have a great expectation of God speaking and working in
our lives here and now! It is the power of the Holy Spirit which transforms people and enables us to have a living relationship with Jesus.
