Holy Trinity Vision
Encountering God
Our vision is of the day when Jesus Christ returns, heaven and earth are joined, and we all share His glory. As we prepare for that day we want to be a church which experiences by faith more and more of that which we will experience one day by sight. This we know will only come by the presence of the Holy Spirit among us.
God is love, a love proclaimed in the Bible and most clearly demonstrated by the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. Love is God's greatest gift to His church and the surest sign that He is with us. We want to be a church which welcomes each person for themselves; a church in which there is mutual respect and encouragement, a church which overflows with healing, forgiveness and many examples of practical caring.
As members of Christ's body on earth we do not wish to be isolated or independent; we desire to receive and learn from the wider church and to give generously to it.

We love God because God first loved us. Our vision is of a church which truly loves God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, a church which listens and obeys, whose people long to know God better and to be holy in all their ways. We want to be passionate in worship, fervent in prayer, devoted to the scriptures, sacrificial in giving, patient and full of hope in times of trouble, a people who aim to please God by putting our whole selves into everything we do, whether in church or in daily life.
Loving Leicester
A community that is full of God's love shares that love with the world. Our vision is to be a church which gets involved with the whole world, but most of all we want to get deeply involved with the community of people who live and work around us day by day. We want to be a church which believes in the authority of Jesus over all things and offers the power of prayer to a needy world. We want to be a people who stand for justice, who draw alongside the marginalised, who are concerned for God's creation. Above all we want to be a church which takes the numerous daily opportunities we have to show the love of Jesus by the things we say and do.

Those who seek to show God's love by the way they live will also be ready to explain the source of that love to others. Our vision is that by hospitality, through many conversations, and in many other ways, we will be a church that is continually explaining the love of Jesus which fills our lives. We want to welcome our friends to events where they can experience community, put their questions and gain practical insights. We want to run courses for serious enquirers and as we tell the story of Jesus our expectation is that the power of the Holy Spirit will draw many to put their trust in Him and so experience the love of God for themselves.
Top of PageBuilding Community
For love to be expressed we need a degree of organisation - our choice is for all our members, adults and children, to belong to communities, each of up to a hundred people, and for each community to have a number of small groups, or cells, where pastoral care can be effective, the scriptures studied and applied, and people grow in their faith. Our vision is that in the small groups we will find the love of God to be present among us and so learn to love God, to love each other, and to love the world in which we each live day by day. We also want the small groups to encourage each member in their personal outreach.
The vision for each community is that as the love of Jesus flows to us, among us, and from us, God will add to our numbers and to the number of our groups. We look forward to the day when another of our small groups is called to form two new groups and to the day when another of our communities is called to form a new congregation.
