Youth
At Holy Trinity we really value young people and care deeply about their lives as they grow and develop at this important stage in life. We have a team of volunteers who make our youth work possible. They are a fantastic bunch! Our youth work is fully committed to the fundamental aims of the church: to be biblical; open to God; life giving; contemporary; and a place to belong.
Within these aims are vital ingredients that we value highly as we work with the young people. We value:
- encouragement, when life can often be a negative experience for young people;
- fun, always important;
- acceptance, regardless of looks, schools, achievement, etc;
- transparency, with one another about life's struggles;
- involvement, believing that everyone is ‘gifted’
- ‘outreach: we’re passionate that Jesus is for everyone
- numerical growth, as we do our youth work well, we expect to grow.
- spiritual growth, we’re passionate that Jesus is for life (not just for Christmas!);
- ‘that home like feeling’, where young people are known and cared for;
- intimacy, as young people develop close relationships in a small group.
In short we really value your kids and think they're great!
